2019 Author Luncheon Featuring David Brooks

Our speaker David Brooks is one of America’s most prominent social and political commentators. He writes a bi-weekly OpEd column for the New York Times. He is a regular analyst on PBS NewsHour and on National Public Radio’s All Things Considered. David has a gift for bringing audiences face to face with the spirit of our times with humor, insight and quiet passion. David’s most recent book, The Road to Character, explores the road to a deeper inner life and explains why selflessness leads to greater success. We hope you will join us on February 11 as David Brooks explores with us the meaning of character in our changing world.”

The annual author luncheon is the Library Foundation’s only fundraiser. In just 7 short years, we have raised more than $780,000 in net proceeds at the luncheon that have helped us grow into a strong, financially sound organization dedicated to securing the future of our Sarasota County libraries. We hope you will join us for the David Brooks luncheon. You can reserve sponsored tables by clicking here. Single tickets ($125) and patron tickets ($200) are sold out.
