Every day, more than 5,000 Sarasota residents pass through the doors of our library system.
Our libraries are so much more than wonderful books and helpful librarians. They are community gathering places, social support centers, and innovation labs. They provide essential services like hurricane relief and tax preparation assistance, and make educational resources accessible to every person in Sarasota County.

Friends of the Library
At the Foundation, weโve established close bonds with the various Friends of the Library organizations. While the Friends are dedicated to supporting individual libraries, the Foundation is designed to address system-wide needs.
