Why I Serve:
Libraries have always been a haven for study and for reading. That we can use this fantastic resource and at the same time help by volunteering makes our libraries essential to our lives.
Vic Romano is a retired executive who spent 29 years with the E.I. DuPont de Nemours Co. He and his family have lived in Connecticut, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio, California, Pennsylvania and now Florida. His career included management of marketing, sales and finance. In addition he served as VP Marketing for a non-profit involved in political action for general elections of 2000 and 2002. He is veteran of the U.S. Navy, and he earned his BA in Economics at the University of Vermont and his MBA in Finance at the University of Bridgeport. He and his wife, Char, live in Venice, where they volunteer at the Venice Jervey library.
