Call Your Representatives
Calling your representative is an easy and effective way to show your support for libraries.
It’s important for county commissioners and your elected state representatives to hear from residents who support Sarasota County public libraries.
In many cases, you may simply leave a voicemail message. If you do speak with someone, you can use the script at the right.
Staff members will take note that you’ve called and keep track of how many calls they receive about the library. You will not need to engage in a long conversation or answer complicated questions. Remember to speak slowly, clearly, and respectfully.
